I mosaiced my bathroom floor with a mermaid. This was all done with tiles people had given me, except for the mermaid's yellow hair and "wake". This was done with broken dishes. |

I started to mosaic my lanai. In Florida, screened porches are called lanais. I got my inspiration from the Kaffe Fassett book, Mosaics. Kaffe mosaiced his terrace including the back wall of his house. His book is my favorite mosaic book. He colors outside the lines, as do I. |
As you can see, this is a complete patchwork. I got most of the tiles on a trip to Mexico and the rest are, again, tiles that people have given me. When finished, this will look like a patchwork quilt. |

In March, I had a mosaicing, drinking, pajama party with my flight attendant friends from work. Between trips back and forth to the airport, we got some mosaicing done! |
In between movies and sangria, we did more mosaicing! |

The floor is really coming along and looking beautiful! These are the french doors opening into my family room. |
This is the inside corner. When I first started tiling, I put in some big pieces to not run out of tiles, but I don't like the look of them. I think when I'm completely done laying the tile, I will take them out and break them up and add some smaller colorful pieces. I hope I don't run out of tiles! |

Thank you so much, guys for coming down and helping me! It's almost done and you all have to come back and see it finished and grouted. I promise, no work! |
